This is the first release of the new SystemTuna, rebuilt from the ground up. It stops unwanted wake-ups, stops surprise restarts for updates and keeps your computer awake when you need it.
SystemTuna runs a small background service that makes the changes you choose. The window itself runs without administrator rights, and your settings stay on your PC.
The user guide explains every feature in detail.
Signed release
The installers are digitally signed by DeinitLabs.
New features
- Overview shows at a glance whether your computer is kept awake, what can wake it and whether Windows installs updates by itself. Simplified shows three cards. Advanced shows every detail, with a Fix link for each problem.
- Do not wake from sleep turns off wake for devices, wake timers and scheduled tasks with one switch, and keeps it off. Your mouse and keyboard can still wake the computer.
- Wake devices, Wake timers and Wake tasks let you choose exactly what may wake your computer.
- Windows Update management makes new updates wait for your approval, so Windows does not restart your computer by surprise. A desktop notification tells you when updates are waiting.
- Keep awake stops your computer from sleeping until you turn it off or until a time you choose. On a laptop, you choose what happens on battery.
- System sets when the screen turns off and when the computer sleeps or hibernates, for each power plan.
- The Message log lists what SystemTuna changed on its own.
